Senior Sales Executive

Position Summary

IIA is seeking a highly motivated, achievement driven Senior Sales Executive at its corporate headquarters in Portland, Oregon. The position requires working in a professional environment in IIA’s downtown Portland, Oregon office. The Sales Executive responsibilities include working with Business Development, Client Services, and Marketing leaders to nurture sales leads, conduct client reviews, and maintain detailed records of client activities.

The ideal candidate is a quick learner, team player, and eager to grow into a Business Development role. The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for meeting monthly targets on a consistent basis. The ideal candidate will be able to clearly articulate IIA’s business value proposition and build sustainable relationships with IIA clients and prospects.

We are seeking an Senior Sales Executive with:

  • A proven history of building client relationships
  • Experience presenting solutions, preferably to technology and business leaders alike
  • The ability to efficiently understand client objections and demostratate the value of IIA services

Responsibilities

Sales Process Activity:

  • Consult with executive level analytics leaders to understand and address mission critical, business-oriented needs and how they can be best addressed using IIA’s research and advisory products.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the executives, decision makers and influencers at target prospect accounts.
  • Build organizational charts for each target company using IIA’s CRM and Marketing Automation systems.
  • Record and manage all activities in Salesforce.com; activities include daily use of the following fields:
    • Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities and Forecasts
  • Use standard IIA sales material to create compelling proposals for IIA’s research and advisory services
  • Use publicly-available information tools (google alerts, LinkedIn, etc.) to gather information about customers and prospects
  • Make the required number of daily outbound calls to qualified sales leads and current clients

Product Knowledge:

  • Can clearly explain the value of IIA’s research and advisory services to a prospective client
  • Can clearly explain IIA’s research agenda and coverage areas
  • Can clearly articulate IIA’s research calendar (past and present)
  • Familiarity with competitive research providers (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, CEB, Advisory Board)
  • Understands how to navigate IIA’s Website
  • Extra points if you have a background in analytics/big data

Attitude and Professionalism

  • Motivates others to work in harmony for team & company goals
  • Displays honesty, integrity, and fairness

Forecasting

  • Provide weekly forecasts for assigned territories and customers

Performance

  • Meets and/or exceeds objectives set for each month

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications:

  • College graduate preferred
  • 5+ years experience in sales & client services, preferably in high technology (services, software or hardware)
  • Experience in communicating with senior business leaders
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close, especially with larger enterprise sales
  • Proficient in account planning and understanding of territory management
  • Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within large Fortune 1000 organizations

Senior Consultant/Principal

Position Summary

IIA is hiring a Senior Consultant / Principal at its corporate headquarters, located in Portland, Oregon. This is a critical services delivery position that requires a unique combination of skills and experience. The Senior Consultant is responsible for successfully delivering customer engagements using their own expertise and IIA’s proven techniques, models, published research, and IIA’s network of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s).

Responsibilities

Management Activities:

  • Provide overall direction and leadership to the Advisory Services team.
  • Develop and execute plan for growing IIA’s Advisory Service business line.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of all customer engagements.
  • Attract, motivate and retain top consultants, contractors, and 3rd Party Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) while mentoring and inspiring team members to excel.
  • Lead effective and rapid onboarding of new consultants, contractors, and subject matter experts.

Sales Activities:

  • Proactively engage with the sales team to identify, close and grow advisory service opportunities. Become the “go-to” expert for closing advisory sales opportunities.
  • Help craft and present compelling advisory proposals and statements of work – from initial engagement to project scoping and contract negotiation.
  • Help scope, define and price consulting opportunities for profitability and growth objectives.

Service Delivery Activities

  • Serve as Advisory Services lead with the experience and credibility to deliver and communicate the key findings and recommendations to a client.
  • Build strategic relationships with clients and key decision makers.
  • Monitor programs, projects, metrics, etc. to ensure on time delivery of engagements and overall customer satisfaction.

Business and Analytics Knowledge

  • Can clearly explain IIA’s research and advisory services in industry verticals.
  • Can clearly articulate analytic trends in industry verticals and common themes across industries.
  • Can articulate how analytics are applied to improve business outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • College degree required, advanced degree / MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 6+ years of consulting experience
  • 4+ years of project management leadership experience
  • Background in data and analytics
  • Experience managing projects and meeting deadlines, despite dependencies
  • Experience working in retail, healthcare, banking, manufacturing, energy/utility or other analytics driven industries preferred
  • Direct line management experience including project, people, customer, financial management preferred

Client Success Managers ensure service delivery to existing clients, and support both renewal and new business opportunities with senior-level executives within specific institutional accounts. Client Success Managers conduct consistent and meaningful live and phone-based conversations with all contacts and are evaluated against overall institutional revenue growth and member satisfaction/advocacy.

Sales Development Representative

Position Summary

IIA is hiring high-energy sales professionals with sound business acumen, natural sales instincts and strong technical aptitude to join our Sales organization as a Sales Development Representative. The position requires working in a professional environment in IIA’s downtown Portland, Oregon office.

The Sales Development Representative will respond to and qualify inbound web and phone inquiries for IIA services. Sales Development Representatives increase the productivity of IIA’s sales teams by identifying high potential revenue opportunities. You will gain experience interacting with clients of all levels, in a variety of industries and across a broad geographical area. IIA offers a fast-paced, innovative environment where you will be provided the tools, resources and outstanding leadership to sell market leading analytic services.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and qualify inbound web and phone inquiries for IIA solutions
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively target highest potential prospects and customers
  • Partner with our Sales and Product Executives to help fill their pipeline and develop your skills
  • Create a great first impression to our prospects and customers by listening to their business needs and qualifying the appropriate IIA solutions to accelerate their business
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in IIA solutions
