Analytics 3.0

What is Analytics 3.0?

Analytics 3.0 marks the stage of maturity where leading organizations realize measurable business impact from the combination of traditional analytics and big data. High-performing companies will embed analytics directly into decision and operational processes, and take advantage of machine-learning and other technologies to generate insights in the millions per second rather than an “insight a week or month.” Data architectures (i.e., Hadoop) will augment the traditional approaches removing scale barriers. Analytics truly becomes the competitive differentiator for enterprises who capitalize on the possibilities of this new era.

Webinars

Since unveiling the concept in April 2013, IIA has hosted several webinars that explored it in greater detail.

“The Big Data trend has been well documented, but the majority of enterprises are still asking, ‘How can I benefit from it?’ Analytics 3.0 is the phase where advanced analytics can be set against large and varied datasets, both big and small. Without analytics, the data is just that — data. By combining analytical approaches and different data types, businesses can quickly and effectively respond to and predict patterns for maximum impact.”

— Tom Davenport, IIA Director of Research
