Renee Nocker

As Director of Technology Product Marketing at SAS, Renée Romano Nocker oversees the marketing team responsible for SAS Business Analytics platform technologies, including reporting, analytics and data management. An analytic evangelist, Renée is passionate about the value of business analytics and advocates a data-driven approach to managing organizations for success.

Before joining SAS in 2010, Renée was Director of Enterprise Business Intelligence in the Information Technology Services organization at Kimberly-Clark Corporation. There, she led the company’s first deployment of an Enterprise Data Warehouse.  In this role, Renée deployed global reporting and analysis capabilities for global Consumer Products, B2B and Health-care business divisions, as well as global platform suites to deliver content management and collaboration solutions. Among other accomplishments, she led the definition of program approach, staffing model, governance processes and methods for Global Master Data Management across four regions.  As a member of the Executive board of Women’s Interaction Network (WIN), she helped increase diversity and development for women and minorities within global organizations

Prior to this role, Renée spent 12 years at AT&T as Executive Director of Enterprise Business Intelligence, leading an  organization of more than 250 staff members and contractors across 17 states, along with offshore, outsourced and shared organization management. At AT&T, Renee developed overall DW/BI strategy to integrate merged and acquired companies for SBC, AT&T and Bell South and also led the implementation of data management standards and governance/prioritization processes for BI across the enterprise. She oversaw the successful delivery of an analytical CRM environment, a first in the industry, to increase revenues and reduce customer churn. Reneé also led diversity events across corporate systems organizations for IT.

Renée has been in the IT field for 25 years, where she has focused on Business Intelligence (BI). She has often played a key role in change management relating to BI in the Consumer Product, Manufacturing, Insurance and Telecommunications industries.

Renée worked in both consulting and management roles in IT and BI before joining AT&T in 1996. Other organizations for which she has led IT teams include Warner-Lambert, Engelhard Industries, Mutual of New York Financial Services, Mercedes-Benz, and Crum & Foster Insurance. Renée’s passions encompass BI analytics, information management and collaboration, where she has implemented successful programs to drive business strategy, optimize corporate resources, and increase the ROI for corporate data assets.
