Cyber Security: Driven by Data and Analytics (Part 3)
The Big Ideas
Financial gain is the primary purpose of most cyber attacks. Other motivations for these criminal activities can include disruptions and information theft by nation-states, corporate espionage, criminal gangs (that may interact virtually and anonymously), hacktivism (for a social cause), and malicious attacks to cause damage.
The leadership of an organization must understand the importance of embracing an adaptive approach toward cyber security and recognize the economic benefits, current capabilities, and future possibilities of employing machine learning and a predictive analytics program.
