The IIA AI Readiness Assessment (AIRA) is a competency-based assessment designed to evaluate an organization’s readiness to adopt and deploy deep learning and generative AI applications.
Built as a natural extension of IIA’s Analytics Maturity Assessment (AMA), the AIRA is designed to augment, not replace, Analytics Maturity Assessment (AMA) insights by focusing specifically on the organizational, technical, and governance conditions that shape successful AI adoption. It helps data and analytics leaders understand whether their organization is prepared to deploy AI safely, effectively, and at scale.
Deep learning and generative AI introduce a distinct set of challenges: opaque model behavior, elevated deployment risk, expanded skill requirements, trust and toxicity concerns, and complex risk–reward tradeoffs. The AIRA evaluates readiness across 60 competencies spanning 11 competency areas, ranging from strategy and organizational alignment through data, technology, privacy, security, integration, and demand management.
The result is a clear, evidence-based assessment that enables leaders to determine the right path forward for their specific organization.
